I hate the idea that if you became attracted to someone based on their looks first, that makes you shallow. While yes, that can be the case for many, most kids get attached to visually appealing subjects and he has spent more time with her since that first meeting. He may not be able to read her mood/mind, but he DOES makes a concerted effort to make sure she's enjoying herself around him.

TLDR: Not all romance should start with "love at first sight" but there's nothing wrong with it either, the human mind can be fickle and weird sometimes.
yep, and whether an attraction starts from the looks does not mean it has stayed as such over a longer time of interacting, as someone else also mentioned already

Hell, I'm sure MC woulda had more to say here as well but this fella was very quick to shut his answer down right then and there, which sure does seem like he has his own skin in the game one way or another. I suppose we will be getting his Deep Lore soon enough

not that he's going to have an easy time gaining people's sympathies after an "introduction" like this anyhow :pacman:

So Yoshida was trying to ruin people's relationships even before becoming a Devil Hunter.

Was that him in the flashback when she was talking to someone about why she was moving to Tokyo (so she could be closer to him)?
It hasn't been mentioned in dialog but I think that is Miyiki's brother. At the end of chapter 3, Miyuki's phone shows a chat history with 兄 (brother).

Love at first sight is one of the strongest attractions. There's nothing shallow about it.

I had it happen once when I was 17 and it hits you like a freight truck.

I've always hated the trope of a character disproving of a relationship and thinking they have the authority to meddle in said relationship because """"surprisingly"""" it is not your relationship and therefore you don't have any business interfereing which means you have literally no authority on the subject (unless of course it is an abusive relationship)
Also broski literally being like yeah I fell in love with my wife at first sight like dude that is so wholesome what do you mean he's just like other dudes
