Mm. As a half-blood myself, this chapter hit me harder than I expected it to. I'd say these feelings of alienation, and frustration are something every halfie goes through and is necessary to develop your own identity. You'll never truly belong to either side, but you can always stay true to yourself. Doesn't mean you'll always like it.

In most scenarios I'd say a change away from a proper font to Wild Words is a downgrade. It's a perfectly fine font, but since it's so widely used, it lacks character and automatically adds blandness.
(I say this as someone who uses WW.)
Honestly, true as hell. There's for sure some panels where I stare and rethink my decisions... I might make yet another font change, not sure yet. But definitely not back to Manga Master, it's way too damn thick...

Damn the otherism really bites this chapter. That's some alienation right there.

On the other hand, all of our characters have some real, true to life depth. That's some damn good story telling.
Is her bubbly personality then a cope for all the loneliness & alienation?

rather self-aware of the author on that matter of Japan & their relation to foreigners

that's sad flashback. she no longer has mother, her father works abroad and rarely comes home, and her home life is lonely even though she lives with her grandmother. at least marry has miyuki as her best friend :meguuusad:
No, the dad is not abroad, she is. She's the exchange student who left home to see her mother's country of origin.

Thanks for the chapter but damn this feels pretty depressing for such a bubbly person
