Over/under on the next confession attempt from Miyuki being interrupted by meteor strike?
Like, this is just silly at this point. And to cap it all off with promising a "date" only to reveal it's actually a group study session? I'll give that Sorata should learn to speak up about what he actually wants, given he's tried to push himself in that very regard lately, but
I guess it really just feels like the two of them want different things. Miyuki says she loves Sorata, but she also clearly just wants friendships and to experience "youth" and to have all of that. The problem, is she's leaving this increasingly-destabilizing misunderstanding between her and Sorata and either actively flees from rectifying it, or ....apparently gets thrown off by shameless author asspulls random tech glitches, and Sorata's left twisting in the wind because they're in fundamentally different places with what they want out of what exists between them.
That all said........I kinda suspect that the one wish I did have of a "romantic rival for Miyuki" might actually manifest in the form of Sorata's coworker. We already had her freaking out one-sidedly when she stalked visited Sorata incognito when he was working, so perhaps that one panel at the end of this chapter is hinting at picking up where that left off.
If it happens, I hope it gets pushed all the way by the author and really puts a scare into Miyuki. She has to be honest with Sorata, and even if it's fine if she has non-romance things she wants to experience, she can't keep dragging him along in her wake expecting him to always be there waiting for her to be good and ready.
Sorata deserves his happiness too, and the author's treating him like Charlie Brown and the story and everyone else in it is Lucy with the football, and the extent it's being perpetuated is arguably already too much.
Thanks for TLing it, though. I'm glad I will eventually know how this ends, one way or another.
