I don't really understand why Kishi is joining them on this trip. Mary is understandable since Miyuki is a girl and Mary is her good (female) friend. Komai is Miyuki's fiancé, so of course he can go. But Kishi isn't even Mary's boyfriend. He's just a male classmate. Maybe he could be called Komai's friend, but what business does a guest have bringing his own friends with him? The guest of a guest, huh? Maybe my thinking is too narrow-minded in 2020's,

Regarding that “aren’t you busy” thing I would have taken that the exact same way I feel like that’s the realist one of these misunderstandings because passive aggressive people really do speak like that
