I love watching the credits and thinking about all the people that helped make the movie real. Thinking about all the hard work they did. I don't know you just start to respect media a little more when you understand the massive effort of making a creative product of such scale.

Why yes I do.

That aside, it's a normal thing for Japanese to watch all credits to the end. What I'm surprised about is that it appears that the younger generation now seems to be a little more half and half about it as evidenced by this chapter and some other examples I've seen, compared to what I'm used to in the past.

I read the credits because I'm interested in film making.
I try to remember the names of the people that worked on the things I most loved in a movie (mainly animated ones, which I then try to find them on social media to follow their work).

It seems though that this is a Japanese tradition thing, which... I mean... Japan being a tradition social hellscape yet again.
