It's more that I just binged through the story (up to the end of Vol11- I'm now waiting for Vol12 more properly before I read further) and also kept up the wiki category for characters to remind myself who everyone was more clearly, though the main friend circle of Anna's ended up pretty clear in my mind by this point. And noticed the tendency for 'Sekine' and 'Serina' to be confused so feel like I have to explain their full names clearly just about every time, as well.

I'll be honest, I notice that the more complicated a story, the more likely people lose track of characters and plot threads with a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly series, and I find myself thinking these don't really work so well being doled out piecemeal like this. Part of why I stick to the binge-reading method.

I approach anime watching the same way, as I watched the entire anime, both seasons, within a short period near the start of this year before I eventually started reading the manga.

They are questionable actions, but we all know by now Sekine is supporting Anna's relationship with Kyotaro. It's just she's too stupid in romance topics to take good decisions. Of course, in this case, Moeko is seen as really repentant of what she did: not only stopped Kanna from chasing Anna when she went to follow Kyotaro, but she proposed Ichikawa to go to the festival (with some terror in her face), so between this and that our anger is focused in Kanna, she can get away with danger.

And not, she bringing Nanjou-paisen is not another questionable action, but her n-attempt to pick him up, surely to no avail, so you can see this as proper karma applied on Sekine.

Sorry, I'm not buying Adachi and still hoping that concession from Ichikawa gets corrected in the anime, replaced with Kyotaro sternly warning Adachi to not mess up with Yamada's career.

As Sekine, Adachi is too stupid to take good decisions, he lets emotions overcome reason and the only reason I can guess about why mangaka would do this is to use later in a situation where Adachi screwed up bad, thanks to her hideous ways.
