Ok I don't know that much about criminal justice but wouldnt Yui have gotten a pardon if she would have confessed killing the asshole of a pedo in self defense? As far as I know, thats the law in my country atleast.

@Keir its not about the punishment by the law i imagine,(dont know japanese law tho) its more about having to live booth with the stigma of having been raped and having murderd someone, he cant do anything about the first stigma, but he for some reason decides that he should keep the second stigma away from her, that and he thinks she could not bear knowing she killed a man
