Neko character is useless and is so over the top, that you can really see the mangaka struggling to try to write themselves out of this hellhole of an arc. They even introduced an angelic father figure to rationalize her boneheaded relationship with neko, but it’s still pretty unbelievable overall.

Lmao i think here we have a classc case of author having a favorite(Neko) but realized no one wanted his shitty ass so tried to make him likeable by giving him a tragic(tm) backstory..
Neko just doesnt really fit in well with the other characters or more like this story seems like he was mad for something a bit grittier than a shoujo.

She cried but she didn't seem that mad to be honest. Her crying expressing was straight out of a comedy manga. She'll forgive him in the space of 10 seconds for sure. Later Neko will probably kill her mom and Kaito will just smile and shrug it off

On a more serious note I don't like how the author is now trying to reform Neko. I'm guessing Neko will slowly learn how to be a normal human and realise Kaito deserves better than him but Kaito being too nice will never abandon him and they remain friends. In reality he needs to move his existence out of Kaito's life as he has done far too much harm to be forgiven

There was a similar situation in a manhwa I read except when the FL realised what her friend had done she basically abandons him for good

Also don't like how ML is treating Neko like he's a normal person when the guys absolutely f*cking insane. They look like they will be best friends in the future
