Ok so I love this kinda world building. I find it pretty neat that they dont outright punish a robot going beyond it's original programming but dont build a robot with that in mind. The laws and classes also seem pretty understandable.
Also the varied design on robots is always a plus. Kudos to the author.

Just a question:
If the announcement plays every time Mina does a non-cooking tasks, then will it play if... you know... the guy tries to get it on with his wife?
I mean, like, "Thank you for choosing a cooking-only variant of the Mina series. By purchasing the xxx plugin, through our store, you will be able to..."

The fact that she has a built in ad is absolutely hilarious. Mina's head tilt is also reaching dangerous levels of smug.

I do like the detail in world-building in this chapter.

This is an amazing manga. It is really fun to explore the ethics of robotics and clearly the author has a lot of interest in this field as well.

Ah yes, the future of advertising that won't run if you're not actually paying attention.

I like how much depth there is to this manga's lore.

Edit: That is a VERY smug Mina at the end.

Microtransactions: the robot

Also I doubt he's less than 6 in terms of mental age given he still understands things like conservation, object permanence, etc.

Good to know that there are other robots who don't want to immediately trash other robots for being defective. I guess Mina-series robots are just designed that way.

I get this is sci-fi and all, but the fact that Mamoru has an "extremely advanced" level of learning capability never before seen is too unbelievable. All electronics have fixed parameters, you can't just magically exceed limitations. Like there's no way my 10-year-old gaming PC can get 60 FPS on Cyberpunk 2077 on max settings at 4K.

I can see why robots or at least the Mina series would be a common second-hand item now. There are limitations to what they can do and if they perform outside of their "intended use" they start playing ads to get you to pay more for updates that arent necessary. The robot is always calling home to make sure you dont do anything the company doesnt want you to do. The catalogue from a few chapters earlier also works on some arbitrary point system like it's a mobage.

All of this is pretty anti-consumer. There is no privacy at all.

One day Mina will have to do a handstand just to show how smug she is.
Can't wait.

Mamoru is supposed to have medical grade health monitoring and predictive software running, he does not (a fact that bothers Mina and why she wants to factory reset him). That frees up a lot of CPU and memory.
