I have similar stress issues as well and I can't imagine how stressful it would be for me if something I wrote got animated and viewed by a wider audience than the number of people who read the manga (well, not that I draw a manga either) so I can't fault him for taking a break. At least it's only a hiatus and he hasn't announced that he'll be ending it.
