Yeah Niji is up to her neck in her own delusions maybe even further. I like that it makes her seem just so entirely tragic. She's a danger to those around her a danger to herself with the way she refuses to see reality and it makes for a sad sad sight.

I'm glad I could turn the corner on Niji's character. Seeing her just so happy and excited in the previous chapter, into her being ecstatic to be alone with Remu here...she just wants love, the kind she's never experienced. She latched on so hard to Remu's moment of kindness that it spiraled into a full-on alternate reality.
And if Remu wasn't the kind and supportive person she is, Niji would have lost her chance at love once again, in a way I don't know if she'd come back from.
But I understand the desire to escape into a fantasy, to shut out the harsh world around oneself. Niji is unfortunately taking it a step too far, but there's a chance that she can pull back and find her way to a healthier place.
Remu has done it, insofar as she has two people in her life who know her "secret" and who accept her anyway. The sister she looks up to in Meguru, and the confidant and ally in Azuki. Both didn't turn away from her, and now Remu needs to find a way to get Niji into the same state that she's managed for herself.
I hope she can do it, and I hope it can be done well in one chapter...given we also need Azuki & Meguru's conclusion on top of that.

I'm sad this one's ending, but I look forward to seeing how the author closes the curtain on these four. It's an intriguing premise, and though I would have loved double the chapter count to really dive into their stories, I am glad we've been given what we have.

Niji is so far gone in her fake version of Remu that there's almost a chance that she can just have a completely clean start with her if she's willing to take it. But tbh even outside of her delusions she just kind of seems like a jerk, Remu is too nice.

My excitement from the end of the last chapter was wasted. I was looking forward to Remu standing up for herself and cutting off the toxic Niji living in her own world, but instead we have Remu being forced to kissed and constantly being told she isn't performing correctly. Even after all of that shit, REMU is the one trying to repair the friendship? Fuck off, dude.

I've had friends in the past who had fanfiction with their own friends as a "joke." Now, they aren't friends anymore like Niji and Remu....

Remu was never shown to be the confrontational type, rather the opposite. She‘s the one who has suffered family and friends rejecting her for her true self, and subsequently spent most of her life isolating herself for being “wrong”. She’s not going to turn around and be the one to cut someone else off after a single conversation.

Remu only intended to confront Niji about revealing one of her secrets to her sister, and considering the outcome lead to Meguru becoming Remu’s ally, something that likely wouldn’t have happened on its own, I don’t think Remu was too upset in the first place. As for the rest, she needs time to process. She seemed more overwhelmed and shocked than anything. This was so far removed from the conversation she thought she was going to have.

We’ll just have to see how their next conversation goes. Since this series is ending a bit abruptly, I not expecting a neat and tidy conclusion to these complex issues.

Niji definitely needs therapy. Meguru probably needs it, too. Azuki might benefit from it, but I don’t think she needs it so long as Meguru puts in the effort to repair their relationship. Remu is mostly fine as she is, it’d just be nice if she had more people to open up to.
