Despite the hyperbole in my previous post, I was only "Moderately Disappointed" on the Series You Like Gets Cancelled Assessment Scale at the time, but now that I've had some time to think about it, I'm at full blown "Total Bummer."

I'm fairly depressed, to be frank. Like, I don't even like seeing this in my library because it just reminds me that there won't be any more of it past the next chapter.

I got the feeling that the story was heading and building up towards the ending since Volume 2 really.
This story is very well-organized with all the pieces of the puzzle fitting in a way that it slowly unravels its layers bit by bit, everything was leading towards this situation and there's really no new places to go to.

I guess it would be nice to get more screentime of a redeemed Niji finding peace, an epilogue of sorts, but in terms of plot build up this feels like a natural ending. It's like a 12 eps standalone anime-original, not the format of a long-running series.

Is it really I don't feel like it should be at least 2-4 more?

I'm rooting for Meguru and Azuki to make up, tbh.

She realizes what she did wrong- probably not the extent of it, but she knows she made a big mistake. Since the thing she pulled can fuck someone up. That thing being the baiting someone into a sexual situation- their very first at that, and then spurring them harshly. I hope to see her reaction to the severity she had really messed with Azuki as a result of misaimed aggression.

I do hope the two reconcile and Meguru at least tries to help fix Azuki's trauma.
