The story was very juicy overall. It was interesting to see 2 freaks confiding in each other over a weird shared hobby. It was a great idea for an ending but it didn't get to fully form. The younger freak loves figures more than people at the moment so a relationship with the older freak would be a break in character development.
It makes a lot more sense for meguru to grow the fuck up and process her trauma without lashing out at the one person who loves her the most. She does, and now they can be together again. Older freak still loves meg afterall.
My issue is that we didn't really get to see meg work through it in a meaningful way. It feels like she just woke up from a trance and realized, "oh, I don't have to take my trauma out on others." It feels like something is missing.
I'd also like to see how the writer kid and young freak go about their days now. Just one chapter of them either figuring out how to start over or drifting apart. I'm curious to see that.
Sad it's ending when it feels like there was a bit more left.
