after reading 17 chapters uploaded today, I’m still confused why kukuri and his friends don’t try to restore kukuri and eliza memories using magic (whether forbidden magic or ancient artifacts). returning to landlord plot was forced especially when they’re still amnesiac

First, his friend, who was a doctor, said that it would be better to forget rather than treat, so they even burned the letter.
Secondly, if the author really did not want them to return, he would have left them in a secluded village, not in the city, and waited there.

Sure things are technically happening but it’s like an extended gag instead of anything interesting.

The only thing of note is Ark learning what it means to rule and empathize with the people and even that has turned out weak.

Arguably, it helps him integrate into the world without the standoffishness of "I transmigrated with knowledge of the otome game world that this place is based on".

Second, ive been waiting to say this til the end of the bulk upload, but Excalibur isnt his last sword he forged? Moran should still have the last sword. The blade shapes arent even the same. I like the idea but at least make sure the swords look the same if theyre supposed to be the same.

Thanks so much for the translations! It’s been so fun to read this one. I wasn’t expecting much but it’s actually been so enjoyable.

I’m loving Kururi’s and Eliza’s dynamic recently. Sure they officially confessed before the kind wipe BUT seeing them interact normally has been quite nice.

Adding in the dragons has been actually crazy. It felt like, suddenly, there are DRAGONS. And they came from CROSSI of all people.

The sword was shown to be in the hands of Rasha during the battle on the dragon's back and how he got it wasn't explained in the manga.

There were no charges, but bad rumours about the curse of the Hellan domain event sequence (probably, made up by the Dartanels) that the Royals wanted to investigate and, as everything else you mentioned (+ house arrest for the MC's family), it was swept under the rug, probably, under the pretense of amnesia.

That can't be the last sword. Looks different and that sword has a signature. His last he didn't put his name on. One of the frames during that fight zoomed in and showed the engraved name on the blade by the hilt. It was made for Eliza, so if it isn't in her family's home (which isn't now) it may be entombed at a false grave or a storage area for her personal effects. Most likely still with the old men though.
