The MC doesn't want Iris. What he wants to do is to hook her up with another man and not our mc. The reason for this is bc the girl that sent the letter is tied to the MC in terms of his fate and it was always shitty bc the chick was jealous of Iris and tried to get rid of her but in the process drags the mc along with her.

About people thinking MC is being after Iris: I blame the long delays in between upload. First came 10 chapters, then 5 months nothing. Then came 3 chapters and then again a break of 3 months. And now its been another 3 months. I'm glade it has been uploaded! My thanks go to NibbPower for doing this. But the long breaks in between chapters make it more than just hard to follow the story. I totally forgot about the prince, him being dislikes by Iris (Y?) and his younger brother. I also have only weak memories about MC and Elize communicating via letters. Wasn't this a way for both of them to diss each other?
A delay of 1 month in between would be okay, as our memory of the story would get refreshed every month. Remember Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens? I don't know about you, but I never picked it up after the ntr chapter. Not because of the "cheating" in the story, but because of the hiatus that those rage bastards created. 2 years later it returned and I wanted to pick it up again, but whenever I thought about doing so, I was "meeehh" and that's it. I read mangas because I enjoy it. But trying to work myself back into the story isn't that much fun.

Personally, I am not a fun of Iris I think she has a thing for men that she can't get. I personally think she was only interested in the MC because he said: "I don't see her as a possible target for romance". She is playing her role in the manga though as a shallow shoujo game MC.
