Fantastic news that Yen Press has announced an official release next May! I can't wait!
The quality of Mado's work stands on its own of course, but I strongly believe our little English-speaking following- each post, favorite and bookmark on social media- helped move the needle in our favor.
So thanks for being part of it. It's almost poetic how this news comes right as Rudy's first plot hook is finally resolved.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet as far as my TL goes. It's been fun doing this, but soon my work will no longer be necessary. I might finish out this volume, then see how I feel closer to the official release.

Thanks for the TL! Does Yen Press even check these comments though? The only time I can imagine them doing so is before taking something down for copyright infringement.

Whip swords are impractical, but adding wind magic to control them helps. Pyro mode is so Rudy that it doesn't matter how impractical it is.

That was a terrifying farewell death-flag from someone tasked with going into the deep dungeon.

they could treat is as psudo disposable. basically beef up thr handle, then add a mechanical fuse of sorts at the base of the whip so that it has a predicable failure point. and replace the whip part as needed.

Rudy mother are former adventurer that uses wires and needles as weapon and she have see an elf using a chained axe.

Along with the wind magic as control system, i think rudy simply thought that experienced user could use whipsword properly
