Another great example of "Don't read the comments."
To everyone not liking these Dougles' actions; the entire manga has been established as our MC being a good person. Good people don't let others die if they can help it. And they will put themselves in harm's way to prevent it.
On the plus side; the assassin has the same mentality as half of the commenters here. He's a sociopath and is actually expecting Douglas to give up on some of the people he's protecting. That's why he hopefully won't see it coming when he receives the inevitable counterpunch.

To add to what SpacyRicochet said, he's been trying to maintain a moral standard not just for himself but for Ravi as well. They just had a conversation about how he can't ignore the prostitute's plight for Ravi's sake not too long ago. Even when he explained what a prostitute was to Ravi he did it in a way that emphasized "goodness" by showing empathy and understanding for both them and their customers. Some of the comments say that he should ignore the delinquents because they attacked him earlier or how they were acting. Even if he is under pressure, DECIDING that he should leave them to die would be saying that they should die over that slight towards him. Suggesting that death is an appropriate punishment for causing you problems is a terrible example for a child and would likely lead Ravi to grow up to be a bit of a bitch if she actually took that to heart.
More so, he isn't making his decisions under the premise that one of him, Ravi, the delinquents, or the prostitutes have to die. He didn't jump out in front of Ravi thinking he would die in the place of any of them. You guy's know how these stories work. Hell, it isn't even a matter of the kind of story it is. Why would he give up on fighting for all of their lives and just decide to die himself. It isn't a trade off unless you've already assumed one of them had to die in the first place.

teleport move is cheat you are prohibit from using that in this fight
well seriously how do you lost track of someone in front of you especially in the middle of air where he can't move if he not touch the ground first(teleport or use wind magic to accelerate the falling speed)
look like ossan using his body to block the knife gonna get someone(assassin gay) boner
@exxp im pretty sure he can kill that assassin in one move if he's don't have ravi, proprostitute, baron's son and his friend to look out for just use his ice magic hell(laser one) that he use to kill dragon on ch.4 page-46 it's not just fast but have high piecing power too but kinda lack of impact and caliber so it could miss vital point
oh he also have large aoe ice magic which lock you in place (if you touching the groud you are already lose) too use on ch.3 page-46 after that he could use his laser ice aim at assassin head that's work too i guess it's kinda like deadly combo for assassins

Don't worry he will get banned for cheating the combat system, GM(game master) working on it. Someone must have recorded it.. Only pictures wasn't enough to get him banned, he will get a warning massage for now, said GM.

I... don't see how you think this. It's already been established that Douglas values life and doing the right thing to absurdity. This manga opened with him willfully dying to release a curse only for it to unwittingly save his life. What's more: we've just had established that that shitheel's father is the Duke that they are trying to unload the cursed necklace off on. Do you think the Duke would be happy if he managed to find out that Douglas let his son die?
If Douglas does save him, he upholds his moral code and he's got leverage over a god damn Duke that he was having to do business with anyways. Sounds like to me a risk worth taking when you consider his character and past actions. And if you think otherwise, just look back to the Black Dragon arc (where Douglas admitted told the group to head back because it was too dangerous and wanted nothing to do with it initially) where he helped take down a Black Dragon and save that militia/adventurer group of his own volition... which is viewed as basically viewed as batshit insane levels of bravery in-universe. And, what's more, Douglas did it with Ravi in tow. So... I dunno, my dude, we have past evidence aplenty that, yes, he would do this. And, what's more, that he's likely to make it through alive with the people he's protecting.
Don't forget that Douglas, had he not contracted that curse, would literally be one of the most powerful and well-respected Hero-tier adventurers in the region. And he's back in his element. He's allowed some leeway taking the hard path and making shit work because of his abilities - especially now that he's a father with a little girl to protect.

@Jesus @Malos I don't know whether it is a coincidence or something else, but all Kirei Cake releases are butchered the same way in order to release something every week. Other groups do the same, but their raw are already splitted, while all the raw I found for this Manga are full chapthers: on the other hand, I only found raws up to ch. 7, so who knows...

In the last three months Kirei Cake released at least a chapter for 23 different mangas (kudos to them), half of which (11) were released as splitted chapters. Another 3 manga released a full chapter every week anyway, while 3 received less then 4 chapter in the last year (althought for 2 of them it was because they have less then 4 chapter in the raws). Out of 23, only 6 got a full chapter either every month or whenever the raws were available.
I know that some of those have splitted chapters in the raws, but there are some other that seem to release full chapters and it appears that the splitting is a Kirei Cake choice. I don't know if that's actually the case, I am just saying what it looks like from the outside.
Anyway, my point is: thank you for your hard work, but splitted chapters suck and, if we could choose, many of us would rather get a full chapter every month, instead of a fraction every week, if only to avoid all those useless fake cliffhanger. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

@SpacyRicochet I'm glad someone here gets it. I really didn't think people can be this bad at reading characters despite also recognising common tropes. Yes, Douglas is emphatically sincere and empathetic, so much that it's unbelievable, almost like its Douglas' greatest strength and weakness to his character. Wow, is it really that hard to get? I wonder what some people in the comments are like when they're watching a movie, they're probably whispering to their friend, 'Is that the bad guy?' or 'Why is he so evil?' lmao.
