Clearing a dungeon isn't really a sample size of one though; they were repeatedly tested with increasingly more difficult fights. Moreover, clearing the dungeon itself was unprecedented, as in, very few (and usually in much larger teams) even achieve it once. Most adventurers never clear a dungeon, they just go up to certain floors to gather drops and sell them. Finally, they did this the very first time they teamed up; they somehow learned to work together, and successfully defeat monsters they had never encountered before, on the fly.

We have no clue how they calculated that compatibility score, but those two together worked some magic to somehow be able to get through all that successfully.
