Fake crown prince killing her dad isn't going to end well for your syndicate or for anyone for that matter, dude is friends with a lot of powerful people and thay might all be in a similar mindset like Aether.

You're right, it's not as if they had any previous interaction that would've established some sort camaraderie between them.

They interacted very briefly. This isn't some longstanding bond, and Angie barely talked in their interactions beyond asking a few questions.

There was totally zero interactions and knowledge that could have clued her in that this guy wasn't doing this out of his own choice.

If anything, the series has made abundantly clear that it was his choice. He could've left the prison whenever he wanted. He could've ignored their commands as he liked. We even see him do as much, when in this chapter he decides he wants to do something else. Angie isn't unaware of this either, Liselotte flat-out suggested as much in front of her and she watched him openly use magic despite being in prison.

Nor did it show pretty clearly that he was trying to recklessly throw his life away in a fit of depression.

Being suicidally depressed does not excuse helping very explicitly evil people by your own will. This isn't a, "oh he has mental health problems" issue. Being depressed explains your actions, not excuses them. You are still responsible for how you treat others. Especially when you are trying to literally murder them.

Nor did the girl clearly had a problem with fighting people and engaging in stupid politicking.

Open murder in the streets is not "fighting and politicking". This is explicitly crime, a horrible one, and she herself does not have a problem with stopping crime as we have seen her act to stop far less severe ones. She is literally a hero.

he also isn't a massive fan of her dad that it won't bias any of her judgment at all. No sir.

Yeah, and that trait fucking sucks because they play on it too much, and it has only gotten worse as the series progressed. "Father's girl" is a reasonable and endearing trait that adds to the character. "Dadcon who thinks about him to such an extent it will overwrite literally every other possible value or interest she has yet the author still presents it as a good thing" outright warps the narrative and makes the character flat. When it's played as a joke, it is less egregious, but it has come to take over actual serious moments and decisions as the series has gone on.

And like, if the author wanted to paint this as forgiveness, or atonement, I would be okay with it. But Angie doesn't respond like that. She is presented as though once he stops being hostile she literally doesn't care at all about his past actions, that nothing at all is or was wrong, because now it's time to talk about dad. Who cares that this man would openly do a murder of his own will? Dad time.

But from what we have been told he was stronger then he himself seems to realize.
Wich is why i found the remark of killing him the prince made kinda funny.

To be fair, he teamed up with one of the best swordsman of the ages. While he's decent or better than average, he's too blinded by the star that stands next to him.
