I didn't get the story. What was the point of it all? Every character seemed to be running around in circle and accomplishing nothing. It started out great, but I stopped giving a shit about any of the characters toward the end. It felt like a tragic story written for the sake of being tragic.

This manga felt like the author was trying to say something about how readers build/develop expectations for how character arcs should start and conclude. Like, I would have compared it the Flowers of Evil. And I thought that because of how much I liked the character closures in Hatsukoi Zombie and Himegoto that we were gonna get that with this. This manga had so many characters that could have gotten great character pay off, like in the stories that I mentioned. None of that happened. Manga shoulda been like 80 chapters of Esemori and Yuko's doomed romance.

this is the worst manga ive ever read. but in a good way. i have a feeling the author's intention was to slowly build up the plot over 180 chapters and just abruptly end it with little to no explanation leaving us clueless/disappointed which i think befits the story really well. that or the author is just a lazy fatass who knows. i finished this in 2 days and every 3 chapters i had to put my phone down and try to process what the fuck happened. this was one of the toughest reads ive had ever probably and this has left a bitter taste in my mouth. i hate how it just ends without closure on 90% of the plot. although i do like how at the end it just cycles back to when the story began. i like to think that the author intended to leave us in the dark but again who knows. 1/10 best bad manga ever it SUCCEEDS in being bad

I think that's exactly it. It felt like it was written for the sake of being depressing so there is no character development apart from them getting more f'd up

I finally read this manga and honestly I wish that I shouldn't have read it until the end because, it got me by the hook. The ending could have explained more but I guess that leaves us to interpret the ending for ourselves, i think it was never meant to give some the ending we think they deserve. I don't want to think that maybe reiji still alive with nagi because they have no good ending at all, they're like already in the abyss. They just got in it as soon as they met each other.

Overall, ts so depressing and maybe I would just read again if I want to feel the pain. Yeah, this manga pained me and I like it.

I've been following this manga since almost its beginning. Not exactly when the author first released it, but around the first couple of chapters or so. When I first read this I thought oh wow this is gonna be an awesome manga, I love thrillers and romance this is gonna be a great read. After like the first 20 chapters this shit started going downhill fast and got dragged out way further than it needed to be.

This was a weird combination of hate-reading and just reading just so I can finally find the end and say I was done with this. It took me five years to read this crap, and I honestly feel like my time was wasted beyond belief. In-between COVID, mangadex being hacked/down/purged multiple times, inconsistencies in scanlations and uploads, chapters just straight up missing, and just not wanting to read, I still soldiered on and decided to read this pile of steaming crap. It got to a point where I was just wishing characters would die or something would happen because if I could describe this manga with as few words as possible, it'd be that it's a big fucking nothing-burger. I hadn't read a manga this bad and infuriating since finishing Yesterday wo Utatte (Sing Yesterday for Me) four years ago.

If you like psych thrillers and romance, there're far better mangas out there that'll get you hooked, just like the town, leave this manga and never come back to it: I promise the ending is not worth your time.
