About time. The series started out so promising, but either the author had some personal issues or just had no idea what he wanted to do with the story. Maybe it was the cancelation of the ova.

I was so suprised to see this part 1 of the final chapter, man, I'm gonna miss this series. Does anyone know why it ended?

Thank you very much for the chapter, I had totally given up on this!

It's so sad to see this manga ending like this, there was so much world building in the earlier chapters that it makes me feel we didn't even scratch the surface of what "could have been"... I'm not usually into mecha-manga but this seriously had me hooked, it's really too bad.

The moment the author decided to start shoving a love triangle involving the queen trying to cuckold the king with the main-character i knew that the author didn't really knew what direction to give the manga and was just buying time by writing in fluff and pointless drama while he managed to piece in a plot

Then he keep doing it with the relationships of the countries themselves, adding more drama here and there, delaying things up, buying more time, until things got too stale and pointless, but he was never able to brig it back to what it once was, and now we are here, this is the finale

The main antagonist, if we can even call her that, is just a gutless fake that is going to run away because, literally the moment her twin showed her face around, her whole plan crumbled into pieces since she never had anything more ready or going on for her

Real shame hearing about the publication coming to an end, this is the only mecha story I've liked enough to follow for so long. Story had a lot of depth that could've been explored, but I guess an author can only work on one story for long.

I think the supposed drama between the 4 characters and their relationships were good and should've been the main conflict that'll lead to political agenda and wars. But it's just as you said, author had no proper direction nor executed it interestingly on a long term had any conclusions for it in mind is a better point as I realized it is a bit interesting before this arc.

Although personally, this last arc about the twins was the worst arc as I don't really get how it connected to the main story, if we even had any prior this point I can't even remember much. It did have some good chapters like rygart's PTSD, but that's just it.

Yay! It's here!
Subpar action scenes aside, this manga is quality and even had a ton of potential for more storylines and world building. It's a shame the author's poor health and loss of interest kept this manga from realizing those potentials. Still though, Break Blade is one of if not the best Mecha manga in quite some time.
I feel like the Mecha genre desperate needs more fresh and original ideas like Break Blade, but with even better execution. IIRC Oda used to say he wanted to do a Mecha manga once he's done with One Piece, but now it seems unlikely...this genre needs a savior.
