Beautiful art—the soft shadows, shine, snow, flames, explosions, liquids, buildings and colours - aah...
The foreground and background are so nicely detailed (I not sure how much of it was drawn but everything sure does look good aside from a few stone walls, furniture and foliage).
Only the ancient ruins look kinda bland.
Kinda sad the artist Yu had to cancel the contract or take a break something because of an injury.
I haven't finished it yet (at chapter 61 rn) but I see a lot of potential with this. I might update this later.
Edit: Ok so it almost hit a saturation point around chapter 50 where there was a lot of exposition and the MC just got waayy more overpowered without much effort.
Premise: guy got suddenly reincarnated into a game as what is supposed to be a "garbage" cleric/priest class character which he might have hacked/modded or something (It feels similar to a sequence 9 secret supplicant but with better physique) and now he has to collect twelve(12) "holy relics" to revive the former goddess mommy he worships.
So he travels from one place to another to find them while killing bad guys including bandits and members of evil organisations to get points he can exchange for powers. He also gets other people to join him while trying to keep secrets. Sometimes cities are destroyed in the process.
There's also something going on with deities.
Main character has some personality, guts and morals.✅ (maybe he's getting mind controlled or he's insane, not 100% sure)
I think him being a psychopath or something would totally make sense.
He shows a lot of love for Mother, always a kind gentleman with her, he'd definitely do anything for her; acts neutral or otherwise like a gentle and kind priest with others; does joke around but with only female love interests, kinda acts like a jerk most of the time; does try to save innocent people; easily kills anyone who is a threat (except for some main charactes for some reasons); Prioritises getting the relics for mother.
This guy might not be able feel things like "love" for another person but understands others' feelings so it looks like he's just super dense in just that area which is kinda weird. Or maybe he's just fine with Mother.
Even the gag panels are either cute, absurdly funny or beautiful.
Even the "get-outta-jail-for-free card" moment was funny and made sense within the story.
The severed hand goes from a mummy hand (who can only say "murder", similar to "I am Groot") to a cute loli and then into a mommy?
All the female character designs are cute or beautiful, even with big "hearts" it's not overly suggestive.
There is some gore and a lot of violence.
Armour designs are also rad, not very realistic but not over the top either. Monsters also look cool and very detailed.
My complaints are that the characters do not really grow much or experience really any kind of emotional development and sometimes big "hearts" make body proportions look a bit weird. But you can chalk up the latter as artstyle.
Game balance doesn't make much sense.
There is almost zero explanation regarding magic and other powers so I have no idea what anything really means to anyone.
Similarly we get no clue as how much anything is worth whether it is money, people or anything so its hard to put things on a scale or get invested in the world.
It is odd that the princess starts out as just being cool but then she's suddenly into him after what? One confrontation and maybe a battle?
They did a pretty good job setting up a few twists. Actually now that I think about it, the twists kinda came out of nowhere but they still make sense.
They're not trying to be edgy so I don't really cringe much from this. Its really more on the funny side (at least for the first 50 chapters)
There are some moments which are supposed to be a little emotional but honestly I didn't feel anything as my age is no longer in the single digits and this ain't my first rodeo.
Despite being an Isekai not a lot is told about this world at the start. So not everything is clear at the start as we don't even know the basics but c'mon you've probably read enough fantasy to not need that and the story slowly reveals things as it goes.
Only videogame element so far is a box showing how many "divinity" points he has, the immortal Ironman nanotech bracelet thingy and maybe the hand signs which indicate the amount of points he can get from killing a target.
Every main and supporting character looks unique enough by design.
Overall decent story with great visuals.
