Ok, here begin the stupidity of the characters. You know, the thing about this story was to do everything to not being discovered because they have the power of the state, they are big and you are small. Storming the building like that, without even using masks, throws away any plausible deniability, and Teacher Mao, won't be able to go back to the Shaolin, she gonna have to run for the rest of her life. That was a very bad way to set an ultimate confrontation, tournament style. I won't say it's a plothole, but for sure make things less believable. Defending her in court (not sure how things were in ancient China, but if they keep talking about laws and having enough evidence, there must be some kind of trial). If you are going to rescue her with brute force, that time was when they were taking her, before spreading the news, exactly as Renjie wanted, now, they will need a plot convenience to solve the aftermath, because people will see Renjie and the rest there invading a prison, which is still a crime.
