That is the most difficult enemy. It makes the story become really interesting as so far the citizen will quickly like them because of same hatred. The last few chapters actually has been interesting. It kinda break the monotone story where they meet the hero whom the citizen hate, help the citizen to kill the hero, go to the next hero

I'd argue the opposite with the divine right of kings. 90% of divinely chosen ones we've seen are bloodthirsty tyrants and the main thing that Princess and her sister have going for them is actually doing their job as royals by handling administration, politics and leadership in war. Something most good monarchs irl also did. They wouldn't be remembered as good otherwise.

It's actually pretty nice to see a setting that gets some parts of pre-industrial societal dynamics like how the governance is affected by only a small section of the country being literate or how the power in pre-long range communications setting tends to favour centralised solutions.

We also have to remember that the "passive inbred failsons" status quo of modern European monarchies is a historical anomaly. Historically failsons would get deposed by more competent nobles, even if within their own dynasty. The modern status quo exists partially because the average modern monarch knows that if they ever exercised their already limited powers, even for a clear benefit of the people, the ostentatiously democratically elected guys in suits that really run their countries would depose them.
