Great chapter.
When you're not tight on money and don't got worries about expenses and whatnot, you really don't think much about the value each buck holds. I'm weak to shit like realizations so I gotta admit, this chapter made me feel like crying. Glad Haru finally knows what's up.

@pockettrash yup. Empathizing with people who eat a full week of meals with barely 1 dollar is such a difficult thing until the moment you experience such a thing. The reactions and ominous feelings Haru felt when realized a fraction of Souta's hardships (bc she still doesn't know he's technically a pariah at his school and is bleeding for a little bit of genuine affection. Not the creepy hugs and stares mommy and Yuri give to him) were really well delivered. A sudden mood swing from the moment she felt genuinely happy at seeing him smiling and being well.

Still people like her who can enpathize with financial and emotionally destitute people are technically hard, if not impossible, to find irl.

Just a random customer that reveals Fumi's mindset regarding her broken life and foreshadows some issues she has at the bar she works at.

Btw, Yuri has Souta's same age (14) and Haru is 3 years older. Besides, from the love triangle, Yuri has the most stable family core (Momma, Papa and older sister).
