There's a lot of irony in this chapter, both the situational and the dramatic. The fact she doesn't know that her own son is inadvertently buying a prostitute because of the lack of physical and emotional affection he gets from both his mother. While earlier I was wrong to assume she was intentionally neglecting him, it is true that his mother going to her "job" has lead him to feeling like a pariah and like she doesn't care about him.
Originally, I thought the twist was going to be that Igarashi was
but I reread a few chapters and they have different last names. Still, I hope it's revealed who his daughter is because I think that will be interesting.
I think that's intentional as she's either trying to make him into her idealized version of what she thinks a man is whilst she is ignorant to his shortcomings or that he reminds her of his father and that has lead her to placing him on a pedestal which he can't live up to. @justforthelulz
