@LordTrollbias good thing Haru looks like a healing type of character. He shall cling to his feelings if he really wants to get out of his bullshit without more serious mental scars.
That doesn't mean he should force things with the blonde out of sheer desperation. The highest point of all of this is that the main relationship still feels natural enough on its progression.

The only way for Souta getting out in my guess:

Haru sneeking into his apartment, helping him whisk away and something really comes out of love.

Not unless that happens, there’s no way the THOT mom(Fumi) will loosen the dog leash on Souta, nor that rotten “kurva”(Serbian for slut) will let go of him as a toy....

I think after she stripped him of all his clothes and isolated him from the rest of the world, it's clear that she's on the road towards some form of sexual abuse being the outcome. Keep in mind that sexual abuse is often about control or assert authority over someone close to you. Keep in mind that in his mother's mind, he betrayed her just like his father did and is losing the one aspect of himself that seperates him from the rest of his kind, which may ultimately lead to her raping him as a form of asserting that his lust (Or, in his mind, love) should only be directed towards her. It's almost like a Jocusta complex.

What makes me interested is I would want to see both how Yuri would react to this and Haru, because I think Yuri (even if I think she's been out of character) would see the consequences to her actions as a negative thing, as a punishment gone too far if she knew how his domestic life really was and so she would try to act how she views herself as, in that she is owed him because she sees him as a prize to be won. Haru, on the other hand, would most likely try to break him out or call for help, but knowing her, she would definitely try to take things into her own hands.

Potentially, it could be the most interesting if Yuri finds out about his situation and then tells Haru what has happened to Souta, which may force them to work together as allies. That would be quite the turn of events, and I would be interested to see where it would lead.

@Tamerlane we still don't know if Haru and Yuri's family have a connection. There's a slight thought on my mind Yuri's older sister could be Haru's classmate, and if she finds out Souta's abuse and tells that to her, then if Yuri's neechan talks about that on a family dinner, Yuri might not be aware, unless she sees a different and more unstable Souta once he starts to snap and avoid home once he finds the truth about his mom by using her smartphone to contact Haru.

I hope she realizes actions have consequences, and that she could reap what she sowed.

@Tamerlane an interesting conclusion, doesn't have any immediate logical flaws, but sexual abuse is not necessarily the only outcome. taking someone's clothes is, well not standard, but not an uncommon way of preventing someone from escaping from a given area. historically some prisons did that because exposure is a more certain killer than even dehydration. i would argue it's more a marker of perceived unworthiness to step into polite society than an inherently sexual thing, more along the lines of an obvious brand (literal brand, prisoner-specific clothing, etc.). i don't really think you're wrong though given the sexual subtext of this series. i hope you're wrong because that'd be fucked up, but it's what it's.

@WhisCalifa69 I honestly forgot about the sister theory, but that could work. I think a pivotal point of the story is that we need another chapter or two from Yuri's perspective post-fallout and what's going through her mind right now to iron out the seemingly inconsistent behavior she has, which could lead to some interesting internal conflict between her feelings of betrayal and her love for Souta leading her to reconsider her actions and realize that maybe she doesn't know as much about Souta as she had thought. Hell, even if she finds out where Souta lives to confront him and encounters both him being abused by his mother or encounters his mother, who lashes out at her for trying to get between her and her son, I think that could lead to a start of a solid redemption arc for her character.

@ArisenDresden I should note that I didn't mean to suggest that it was the only or most likely of outcomes, but that it would be consistent of themes of how clingliness and taking things on assumptions ruin relationships, and it would probably lead to a situation where Souta learns the distinction between geninue love in terms of caring about a person and the lust that comes from feeling entitled to a person.

Plus I think it would lead to a good situation where Haru helps Souta overcome the sexual/emotional abuse of his mother could parallel the implied psychological/physical abuse of her stepfather. That, and it might redeem Yuri as a character, which could be interesting

I agree, I'd like to see Yuri's perspective post-fallout to see what she is really thinking. Especially since Souta finally "left" school like she wished he did. She might be redeemed if the scenario you described would occur. But she still has beliefs about controlling people that will be hard to shake off (I assume due to her background).

@WhisCalifa69
I heard a few times about the theory of Haru and Yuri having a connection. Though I don't know where that came from, unless I missed something in the first few chapters.

@ArisenDresden
She intends to keep him as a prisoner, but also sees Souta as "man who needs to be restrained". I worry how far she will go to achieve that goal. Taking away all his clothes, it doesn't bode well.

@J363 it came from a thread in 4chan of all places. Yuri seemingly was in 5th or 4th grade when his older sister was in middle school, and one of Fumi's customers said she has a girl who turned 16yo and wanted to buy her a pearl necklace. If one puts two and two, and considering Yuri's a richfag, then it all comes together. Miura, Nogi and Takasaki families are all connected by some way. Haru's stepdad might be Souta's biological dad, Yuri's dad is actually "Igarashi" from chapter 8 and Yuri's older sister and Haru might be classmates.

@Blackbelt read my "sorry not sorry" rant. Shit like the one that happens to Miura household happens a lot irl. That doesn't excuse Fumi from being a douchebag bc of "muh abandonment issues". Everything could be solved if she could communicate with Souta in a proper way instead of smothering him out of fear of abandonment.

@Ingway And who's fault is that? right the father i mean you really dont know when a person is about to be crazy especially when you are a weak minded just like her and you really cant blame that. I mean dont get me wrong. Her action towards her son and the way she treated him is definitely is wrong in a lot level and yeah she is a scumbag, but my point here is the father is literally the biggest scum in this manga. They could have been a happy family if the father did not cheat with a prostitute. If he is alive then at least give the kid a child support ffs poor kid!

At this point I'm entirely convinced that she will pull a move on him.

I honestly expect for the teacher to do nothing useful during this arc. Dude got easily conned by Fumi just because she seemed nice to him and that was enough for him to completely throw out his suspicions about her possibly abusing Souta.

don't be too angry at the teacher. he is honestly the most authentic representation of your generally well-meaning milk toast teacher.

he knows the limits of his responsibilities and hopes that the parents will handle the rest. the bullying thing is unfortunately something that has to have the whole school staff and student body get involved if anything is to happen and if the victim is willing to keep quiet about it the school tends to hope the issue goes away before big motions have to start happening.

the mom however is setting herself up to fail. at some point MC is just going to see her as just another enemy.
