That was a really good start! It dives right into an expansive and obviously thought-through world, giving readers plenty to latch onto, be it the action and powers, the world's mysteries, or the Mob-Reigen dynamic of Ur and Bharat.

I skimmed through some past one-shots of Reiya Machida before this so I knew their art was good, but I was not expecting it to be this good; they have clearly honed their craft and put everything they had into this first chapter. This chapter could stand next to Gachiakuta in terms of visual presentation and flair. Those color pages were some of the best color pages I have seen in a while. The question is whether it is even possible to maintain this art quality on a weekly basis, to which I'm inclined to answer no for now. Maybe that is a good thing; I think readability was somewhat sacrificed here for detail.

As long as the writing stays compelling, I think this will be enjoyable. I was certainly pleasantly surprised by this first chapter, and I'm already hoping that this series succeeds.

strong start with colored pages and insane creature designs. and the dynamic between these master and student reminds me of Reigen and Mob. i want to read more!
