Thanks for the chapter!
Seems like Bai Yao hasn't learned how to take responsibility for his mistakes or the value of people's lives and only learned how to shift the blame to some poor innocent to get away with it. Seems the family has been using the rod only on a whipping boy rather than him, spoiled him rotten, and given him a a god complex where he's above everybody else and be irresponsible. This is the second patient his incompetence has killed and not only isn't he feeling remorse but is patting himself on the back for coming up with a scapegoat. Surprised he hasn't considered that Bai Xue might be able to convince people he's the one who made a mess of the operation or that he could be held responsible for dumping everything on her and leaving early even if she's blamed for patient dying.

In any case, seems that CYA is the Hospital's standard MO rather than concern over a patient's well being considering those two nurses left in the middle of the operation just because things were looking bad. Didn't they consider that they could be blamed for abandoning their posts in the middle of an operation? Also, the director has no sense of shame or timing considering he accused and was about to arrest Xue as soon as she left the surgery without even receiving word of the patient's condition. That and isn't doing anything to prevent Yao from screwing up again and instead is enabling him by helping cover his mistakes up.
