The manga's art is bad and the translation depressing. I stopped reading as soon as the "save the carriage under attack" cliché appeared.

first ~13 chapters need a translation overall, but besides that this manga kinda slaps? Protag is OP because of technology disparity, magic is written as some pseudoscience thingamagik, but it is suficiently believable in that universe. and the plot has a clear objective from the start that makes sense and it's urgency forces the protagonist to be an active force in this universe (something that is rare in most isekais). This is the most literal definition of an "isekai" you will ever get. It's literally another world, anothe freaking planet, and the plot appears to be going in a literal galactic warfare. If you are a fan of sci-fi AND a isekai trash like me, you'll probably like this one.

I thought I was commenting about another manga. My mistake here...

I initially liked this. Rimworld vibes + magic.
But he quickly became overpowered and the series turned into another harem series.
He's got AI with advanced tech (even if barebones) AND magic. And he learned said magic quickly at that and already much better than the person who showed him!
Writers please, put some limits to your main characters.

Got boring after it transitioned from small party adventuring to clan building. Should change title to “The Galactic Navy Officer Becomes an King” after it probably goes full on nation building.

It basically forgets its own sci-fi setting and just becomes a shitty power fantasy Isekai. The nanom stops talking to him the second he has a human companion and he stops using technology except when the plot wants to make a point with it. He's literally never used his rifle once since he got a sword and magic. Speaking of swords and magic, he's a master class swordsman better than any real person in this world because he played a VR video game in the past about swords. He is also a masterful magician able to interact with magic in ways no one has ever thought of before such as basic concepts like visualizing it. It isn't making him better, it's making the civilization worse so he appears better. Nothing about the world is believable and they're basically all savages who have no understanding of the very world they live in or basic things until magical op mc shows them how to do it "the right way". Characters are also just fucking stupid for no reason. His first harem member has to teach him basics of the world literally any inhabitant would know like magic existing and magic stones being in monsters yet she never questions who he is or why he lacks basic knowledge, instead assuming he's an incredibly skillful noble despite lacking kindergarten knowledge. She doesn't bother asking any questions either. She, and the other characters in the series, only exist as foils to the mc, to lavish praise upon him for being so great or to lose to him to big him up.

It's genuinely one of the most basic and shitty power fantasies I've ever read. I might mind less if it actually indulged in its own setting which seems interesting yet it promptly forgets the things that made it unique or actively ignores them even when they have a very clear relation to whatever is going on.

This is the single best star ocean-ass story than any single star ocean games in existence.

Current series description is very spoiler-ly and give away the key plot point (plot twist even) of the first part of the story.

Glad I started reading before current description, would have definitely worsened my reading experience.

The last chapter I read was 46 and I stopped reading this till today. After rereading again from start story started to give rushed and confused vibe from chapter 48. It's like somethings are missing, I didn't read the LN or WN, so I don't know if it's because manga tried to rush or skip some content but there is a rushed and confused vibe from chapter 48. I hope it didn't go in the route of pacifist MC route all of a sudden after all this time.
