A thread for actual real cars! Not the Pixar ones.

Cars are expensive. Cars are cool. Cars have wheels.

Post pics! Talk the talk.

Post links to sales pages for cars you would (or are going to) buy.

Talk about your favorite cars, or just talk about the one/s you currently own.

Talk about racing.

Anything car related goes (within reason).

Sometimes cited as the first rock 'n' roll song:

And the car that inspired it:

The front of my apartment serves as a used car dealership office. Every day, there's a row of luxury cars parked there.
It makes all the residents of my apartment look like rich people.

Old cars are nice too!

The Rocket 88 was pretty decent for an affordable option.

100 hp. 13 second 0-60.

Not bad.

But I suppose if I had to to pick a more 'unaffordable' option as first muscle car, it would probably be the Dusenberg SSJ.

Although perhaps it was more like...the first super car...a lamborghini of its day?

The most powerful version was supercharged and had 400 HP. Enough to zoom from 0 to 60 in 7.8 seconds. Not bad for 1935.

Only 2 were built. The Model J was a good fill in for it, though...

The brothers Duesenberg got their start here in Des Moines - I believe their original factory building is now apartments/condos downtown, though I may be confusing that with another manufacturer from the same era. Great cars.

I had a toyota hatch which I sorely miss in my native country, its CVT wasn't half bad, it wasn't that sporty but it was reliable, now I have some shitty ford SUV, my local market sucks. I hope the chinese get a big enough lobby that forces Stellantis to actually come out with good products and the japs to lower their prices.
Anyways, for a two car solution I'd pick:

with some upgrades, preferably an engine swap to either a 1KZ/D or go crazy and put an OM606, install some carplay/nav thingy and call it a day. (It's a Toyota LandCruiser II J78G, though I'd also consider a LC80/100 or a Prado90). I'd also consider a range rover classic with similar upgrades, although it may need more work because brit cars aren't known for reliability.

And for the city:

Honda fit would be nice, too bad this gen isn't available in me country </3
