It wasn't simply that, it was that Frieren goes through great lengths to murk demons, spending countless years at it, on top of that, openly hates them all and wants them all dead, regardless of age or gender __〆૮o.o ა which did cause some drama, 'cus people were mad the demons were ontologically evil, but that's neither here nor there ૮.ᆺ. ა

Yes, even non-yuri fans are quick to put that tag on a title even if there is nothing suggesting so other than two girls in the same panel. One of the reasons is that when they see tags on MangaUpdates and other similar sites they acritically add it even if it's wrong on the other site, just because they don't want to check the source material. Another reason is "if it happens once in one chapter, it should go to the whole series" and for one-shots/doujinshi that can be a single "panel". Once I got in a discussion with Trobi because he mistagged it and he just shrug it off and left if as is.
