Touhou - Dairei Jigoku (Doujinshi)

Kinda. I finally beat the whole visual novel awhile back, but now I'm reading the MuvLuv Alternative manga adaption and it's pretty good, even if it skips some stuff here and there. Though, I noticed that the manga version really amped up the fanservice.

Here's some of my screenshots of my journey across MuvLuv to Alternative:

Bro, it was one scene out of a 100+ hour long visual novel.. You're going to scare away the regulars if you say that out of context.. Also not guro, I'm not @pandascepter.

Question @BakedBanana:

When playing visual novels, do you explore all the possible storylines? Do you try to reach all the possible endings, including the bad ones?

oh boy, I wonder how I should shorten your name
AST?

Edit:
AST most commonly refers to
Aspartate Aminotransferase, an enzyme (also called SGOT in this KidsHealth article) primarily used as a blood test marker for liver damage. Other meanings include "Abstract Syntax Tree" in computer science, "Atlantic Standard Time," or an "Assured Shorthold Tenancy" in UK real estate.

Do you mean routes? Yes. Usually in visual novels you need to do all the routes for the full story + true route anyways, so it's almost a guarantee.

Bad ENDS? Most of the time, yeah, if it's not too out of the way and has value (like Fate Stay/Night).

apparently this is the first time anyone referred to me at all
This was my first ever time anyone actually mentioned me apparently. :kek:
@BakedBanana I think it's pretty dope. I started with Negima back in 2011 (when it already had a lot of chapters) and got hooked. This manga doesn't cement itself as a sequel until later chapters because there's so much background to cover to help blend it for new and old readers alike(he did really well with it), but the pacing and romcom ratio is spot on. Akamatsu-sensei always wanted to do a legit shounen and this was his chance to go at it. He decreased the romcom and ramped up the action compared to what we saw even in the later chapters of Negima(Magic world arc was practically a different manga from Vol 1 of Negima, it gradually evolved up to that point of course, definitely worth a read if you haven't read it). So yeah there's never too much of a break between arcs.

I always encourage people to read Negima first but it is a long manga. To me that's a good thing but it's not for everyone.

And this my last mention in V3 before it died:
@BakedBanana 9.09 baby! Goal reached!
