Subaru is the goat. every time i start to doubt him for screaming and flailing even though he doesn't need to (and has died in much worse situations many times prior), he pulls through and everyone in universe verbally reinforces that he is, in fact, the goat.

I'm on season 2 episode 2, I'll admit that I feel very cathartic when his regressions pay off but I seriously cannot fathom that Subaru will become an Aura Monster when he climbs those aura stair in future.
