Raw meat need not mean you tore it straight from a wild animal's side. You do know that any meat you buy in the developed world is inspected by veterinarians for that kind of thing, right? Sure, fuckups happen, but it's so unlikely that plenty of people eat raw beef for example, as steak tartare. Are you American, by any chance? Most I've talked to had strange preconceptions like that... They also can't imagine eating raw eggs for some reason (also part of the dish mentioned above).
