And I bet they have no problems with the fact that their "vegan" food likely resulted in a lot of insect deaths, pesticides, harvesting machines, nature destruction for fields... I cannot be a vegan simply because I know so much of those variables, that finding anything edible would require my complete attention

bit of a rambling, not-really-thought-out rant, but here ya go;

people seem perfectly content off-setting suffering they can see for suffering they can't, in the name of 'doing no harm' and 'being humane' ૮-ᆺ- ა

the meat industry is horrific, it induces far more pain and suffering to animals than it has any right to, and we should strive to make it a more humane process. ૮- ×-ა But the only way to get people to realize that is to put it's brutality in front of them, with is guaranteed to traumatize them, as it did me ૮-.- ა

but, i don't advocate cutting out animal product from ones diet, ૮o.oა as you're just off-setting the pain you cause to a creature who's pain you cannot comprehend, ૮-×- ა instead, I believe in treating the pain that went into it with respect, ensuring animal parts don't go to waste, while also minimizing the pain where one, such as buying from more ethical sources that treat their animals humanely __〆૮o.o ა
