Had to double check to make sure. The guys twitch handle is Lacari and I think he's based out of Texas.

I only found out about this guy because a bunch of slop hit the front page of youtube for me the day after it happened.

A lot of it is likely just people who just read manga and never bothered with making a forum account. I've had my MD account for at least 5 years (I think) and only just bothered making the forum account yesterday to make my own comments on the controversy myself.

All of them just pop out of the woodworks now and not when the DMCA happened, the ads came... Nah, they didn't care about that at all.
But 10 Loli Hentai get removed? Suddenly the user numbers on the forums have spiked by a ton.

Let's be real, most of the ones shouting in the thread are people that maybe have made an account on the site in the past, then left it behind of the time, only to return after hearing there was drama happening here.

Pretty much just 'silly internet number'. I wouldn't read too much into it in most cases.

Technically, you get ranks through it, but that system is mostly undercooked and ends quite early, not to mention that contest winning gives you a custom rank, making any reaction score gained one pointless
Well, still works better than the Points system, which still doesn't have any usage
