So what I remember is more or less what it is in a nutshell then, as far as the usage of the word is concerned outside the Ancient Greek context at least.

In the Ancient Greek context of the word, I suppose the Pythia would be the Listener conveying to the other priests, while the other priests would be Speakers then?
