It's a bit depressing how I haven't found a new anime that hit me hard enough to be put in my favorites since 2023...
My bingo cct card."Only 89 messages left until the milestone"

if i had to recommend a few specific ones for you though then maybe Toradora (romcom) or Chihayafuru (targets Josei demographic (middle-aged women))
yeah, more than anything the series is about what you can accomplish through perseverance, so i get that it may throw readers/watchers for a loop. i really enjoyed it though because it's Madhouse and they're always solid. and btw (Chihayafuru manga ending spoilers) in the end of the manga there's still not even a confirmed romance. Chihaya goes off to college and her two love interests vow to fight for her heart until the end of time lmao. way to chicken out, author.Chihayafuru was the only one I didn't enjoy. It's amazing because, in theory, it's a romance manga, but, in my experience, it's all about the game of karuta with match after match of karuta nonstop. I stopped reading the manga halfway through because of the lack of romance. I've heard some people say it's the greatest romance of all time (???). But for me it’s like +300 chapters of Karuta games 😅
Ah, yes, torture the children animation.then clearly you have not watched Tengoku Daimakyou
