that's a word?I have been mollified.
@bigtiddyoneesan Is this that "taste signals" thing you where referring to back when you had a bloody fist fight with @boursk ?Bro said this:
"[Because the original "sell your soul to the devil for musical talent" stems from assertions that Paganini sold his soul to the devil.] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niccolò_Paganini) In reality, he was one of the first people to realize how you can use dissonance, tension and resolution to make better music."
To which I cited an example of dissonance to resolution from the tail end of Bach's St Matthew Passion, written in 1727, nearly a century before Paganini's career, saying
"You can see the dissonant chord CmM7 (note the B natural in the flute) that is resolved into a C minor cadence.
I don't think the usage of dissonance and resolution is Paganini's invention."

You can hear what I mean shortly after 2:43:10.
I didn't even address the fact that the rumors were about Paganini's supposedly devilish heritage and the idea of selling your soul to the devil for musical talent clearly predates him (see Tartini's Devil's Trill Sonata), cuz I don't beat dead horses.
He replied saying
">one of the first people
Please read.
Also I am pretty sure that the use of dissonance predates Paganini by centuries.
Yet, he pushed it far enough to be accused of making a deal with the devil because people were made uncomfortable by his play."
Okay unnecessarily defensive but I said that "Saying that Paganini was one of the first to use dissonance and resolution when I just gave you an example that predates his career by nearly a full century, is like saying that Elon Musk is one of the first people to experiment with electric cars" then I cited a bit from Paganini's 4th Caprice where he uses the same vii o7 to I 6/4 Bach uses in his recitatives.

Also pointed out that the devil rumors were cuz of his freaky hands, fashion sense and showmanship.
That's a pretty nice piece! If you really want to blow some minds, here's the guy to use: Don Carlo Gesualdo.
Tonality? What's that?
Also murdered his wife and her lover when he caught them in the act, and walked. Must have been a hoot at parties.![]()

ONE OF USThat's a pretty nice piece!
Also I should probably be less surprised to find someone into classical music in the Mangadex CCT, an Internet acquaintance of mine who I met through a classical music forum runs a top 10 Reddit karma account and it's all anime/manga lewds 💀 💀 💀.
This is me spreading your ashes in the ocean after your 'accidental' demise:
Shall I tell you in excessive detail about what I did to the hat?
It's been such a long time since I've seen music sheets for choirs. If you really want to blow some minds, here's the guy to use: Don Carlo Gesualdo.
