The way I see it is that she's trying to separate Denji from Pochita, I dunno who they're trying to save Denji or Pochita, but denji has proven to be able to survive without Pochita (that is at least for a while.). Kinda like what Makima tried to do back in first part.Did I miss something or is Famine full of shit. The black and the red chainsaw man are both Denji. It's hard to believe that she doesn't know that. What's more believable is that she knows AND that putting Asa into the limelight is gonna trigger the fuck out of Denji and he will not be able to keep his cool. After all she is doing exactly what he would've wanted.
So I understood she meant pochita csm =/= denji csm, however the fact that there's fake csm and that this manga is not in colors (and no
reference imGe of the other one ) makes this confusing and narratively weak. I didn't like the chapter, it was hard to get through because of how confusing it got
This exactly, remember that black chainsaw man at the end of part 1 wasn't Denji but Pochita controlling the body, so that's why Famine is giving that explanation to Asa and Yoru. They are different. While both of them uses the same body, the red Chainsaw Man is Denji and the black Chainsaw Man is Pochita. Yoru wants to kill Chainsaw Devil (Pochita), not Chainsaw Man (Denji).
Yeah, and the "Red" Chainsaw man is just denji turning into Chainsaw man with the red chainsaw head lol
so the original form of chainsaw man is really all dark, so I think it does hold up.
I'm damn sure that if somebody put a chainsaw next to your face you would be more scared than if they put a gun, just the sound of the chainsaw alone is scary along with the sharp spinning blades just make even more terrifying. So a devil naturally becomes stronger whatever they represents is feared by the people.
But a devil can also get stronger by eating stronger devils.
Which finally explains why Pochita is so damn strong despite I don't think many would fear a chainsaw. Which means it must've somehow ate a lot of strong devils but not neccesarily have been the one to defeat them which would logically seem impossible.
Then with this dual path to getting stronger raises a "who trumps who" question. As in do you become as strong as the devil that is feared a lot despite you yourself isn't feared? For Pochita's case the devil he ate gets forgotten so nobody would even fear them so do Pochita even get stronger? Or is the fear-brought power completely transferred to Pochita?
That one page in color came out over 3 years ago. The pochita csm has not appeared in part 2, much less in color. To reference that about 4 years later, in a black and white Manga, without including clear references to who they meant when speaking of red vs black is a bad way to communicate it. And thus, bad chapter. This isn't a matter of hard-core csm fans getting what is a reference that's pivotal to the current plot. It should be clear as water what they were talking about. With two big illustrations of each csm in the background or at least cami holding a full body picture of pochita csm and attributing it a good sized illustration for detail. The black part is literally covered in dialog bubbles in the zoomed in panel.

Speaking for myself: I said that it's not believable that Famine doesn't know this. She literally says in this chapter that Chainsaw man wants to live as a human so she MUST know Denji. Yoru and Asa have no clue obviously...Y'all saying they're dumb for not realizing the black and red Chainsaw Man are both Denji. Okay, how the fuck would Asa or even Yoru know that, especially considering they don't even know his real identity?
nah she is right. Denji is not chainsaw devil after all. He just possess devil's powers. Yoru should be after PochitaDid I miss something or is Famine full of shit. The last chapter looked like the typical cliché beginning of an American romantic comedy. They are enemies, they hate each other, but they are made for each other.Asa is surpassing any expectation I had of her... she is as dumb as Denji... and just as hurt, these two dumbasses are made for each other.
I'm eagerly waiting for the moment when Asa finds out that she was simping for Denji all this time XDThe last chapter looked like the typical cliché beginning of an American romantic comedy. They are enemies, they hate each other, but they are made for each other.
