Also, wished the chapters were a bit longer, the story feels a bit cramped lately and I think the pacing is starting to drag a little.

Quanxi is only alive because she's a weapon person and they are functionally immortal. Her lesbian harem is sadly dead. Though, I suppose she could always try to find those specific devils again and make them into fiends, but they likely wouldn't be the same. The real question, though, is why Quanxi is still working for Public Safety even though Makima is no longer there to hold the leash.

Man, what's even going on here. The pacing of this is so weird. At this point we're about halfway through the original run, but there's still no discernible direction for the plot to take, no stated goal, or central threat beyond these nonthreatening church fucks who seem to be doing a great job of defeating themselves, and some vague impostor CSM.

Things better get really good in the future, otherwise the second season of the manga will be something better forgotten by fans (Like the 4th and 5th Indiana Jones movies).
I really like Fujimoto Tatsuki but Chainsaw Man season 2 is looking, smelling and feeling like a crashgrab because of how well received was Season 1.

I'm okay with it for now. My impression is that the story feeling directionless is intentional, since it parallels how Denji himself is lacking direction and has no idea what to do with his life. Everything that had been giving the story it's structure had been removed, and it was those very same things that were providing Denji's goals and structuring his life. The effect is that we kind of get a feel of Denji's mindset.

Oh, for sure.

This is going the Fire Punch route. Really interesting premise, but whacky plot and seemingly directionless narrative, as well as inconsistent pacing.

Some people here might think this is 4d chess, where the author is intentionally making the series into a directionless mess, but honestly I just think Fujimoto is running out of ideas and is throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. Either way it works, because the series, despite its inconsistency, still feels fun to read.

Also, personally, as long as the story doesn't go Sweet Home Alabama with Denji and Nayuta, I'm happy; this character bonding between the two is going so perfect right now.

Kinda feels like our author is getting a bit high on his own farts to me. His earlier works were being praised for being unpredictable, having off the wall storylines that somehow work out, and playing with genre conventions. So now he's just being random and quirky for the sake of it, thinking it's the same thing.
At least Fire Punch and CSM gave you some time to get attached to the characters before throwing in a twist, or a death, but these characters all feel so disposable, dying "shockingly" a couple chapters after their introduction, or being just way too gimmicky to feel like actual people, with the sole exception of Asa.
