CM lost cohesion (and much of my interest) right around the time of the last 'door problem'. Too much stuff going on now that doesn't seem to matter all that much with new characters lacking story context. Feels like someone will wake up and half the series will have been a dream - or something.

Half these chapters feel like pandering to wannabe-edgelord gore-philes - more than before.

Kinda meh chapter ngl

This whole manga is "meh" now. It should've just ended at part 1.

It's basically the M. Night Shyamalan of mangas now: You know there's gonna be some big twist. But that kills any excitement or interest to me. Because is it really worth wading through 30 chapters of random shit and "forgotten" plot points just for the big "exciting twist" explanation 8 months later.

We're 47 chapters deep into part 2, and it feels like there's hardly a plot. But people call it "kino" for the twists and misdirection, and when questions are answered 50+ chapters later.

It's like someone starving you in a cage, but you praise them for feeding you because they throw you a burger every couple days. Shits getting old.

Yeah, this Part 2 is more of a random bullshit thrown at the same time. And that's part of why I like it xd. But hardly anything happened in this chapter tho

It's pretty inconsistent that Public Safety are always incredibly organized and competent when Denji isn't involved, but a clusterfuck and short on staff when he needs them. Also we were lead to believe the entire organization and government of Japan was being puppeted by Makima, so I would think the first thing they do with her gone is completely dissolve the official Devil Hunter program.

Even if it was shown for one scene, there was a comitee of some people who to Makima reported. Probably the head of Devil Hunters. While She was was alive, Makima probably controlled them. It would have been stupid to dissolve them because the Devil threats only increased and 2 years happened since Makima's death, so they had time to put their shit together. When you say-when they need him-are you talking about the Devil Hunters lead by Makima or without Makima, because if the former, than maybe Makima just wanted Denji to have as much of a hard time she could afford.

Let's be honest, the Church is held together with strings and duct tape, but it's still hard to believe Public Safety has even enough people to take all of them down. How the hell did they even get some of the weapons back, even?

I don't think you understand what 'comitee' <sic> means. Makima led a division, the one that tended to employ outliers like Denji or Power. She wasn't the head of the Public Safety Devil Hunters. As for who all else she controlled, they pretty much all came out (and mostly died) at the end of Part One.

Ironclad didn't say 'when they need him', he said 'when he needs THEM'.
