Wasnt it stablished that when asa/yoru are experiencing strong emotions the control of the body gets a bit blurry, so they cant switch, so asa could only intervene when the influx of emotion was over, aka after the kiss

Yoru has definitely indicated that she can't take over Asa's body when she's stricken with fear (ch. 101, p.17). I don't recall if that condition was ever generalized to all strong emotions.
