It’s not about the guns it’s about the people who own them. It’s obvious that the author has disdain for people exercising their freedoms. If he wants to get political people are gonna feel a way about it.
Poor gunwankers getting their feelings hurt.

The potshots being the not so subtle theme of America and Gun ownership being a negative. I mean referencing the NRA as NPA and having the statute of liberty cracking in the same chapter isn’t subtle.
how’s that boot taste
If you think Chainsaw Man was ever NOT political even in Part 1 you really lack reading comprehension and yes actually Fujimoto IS based for saying the NRA and American Gun Culture (and shrugging off mass shootings as "a fact of life" people have to deal with because "muh freedom to own guns trumps everything else") sucks.

And even WITH all that, he still painted America as better than nearly every other country in CSM including Japan (like how he had Bill Clinton publicly apologize for taking away a year of every American citizen's life to power up the Gun Devil in order to save the world from Makima).

Why did people suddenly lose their fingers?
I think I finally understand this one. It’s not just a reference to trigger fingers, but specifically misplacing your finger when firing a revolver.

When a revolver is fired, pressurized air from the exploding gunpowder escapes around the cylinder, and that can cause burns, severe damage, or even blow your finger off if you have your finger in the wrong position.

Whose boot? Big Anti-Gun lobbyists? What are you talking about?
I mean they do make millions but if you want the government and the cops to have all the power to defend themselves while you can defend yourself with a baseball bat your a bootlicker.

You are heavily brainwashed by the media it’s not even funny. The fact of life quote was misquoted by news organizations who twisted that out of JD Vances mouth. And yea the series has been political but it wasn’t that bad before and it’s getting worse so you can shove it with the “muh media literacy”. And there’s nothing based about people losing freedoms due to fear mongering politicians.mass shootings are made national news everytime they happen but are rare. And if you look at canada once you take away “assault weapons” next comes pistols and before you know it you are like England needing a license for a bb gun. If authors want to support authoritarian measures that personally effect the state I live in then they don’t need to get anymore of my money. Manga is a hobby just like owning guns is I will just spend that money on ammo.

And I think it’s funny how at least you admit the messaging going on meanwhile the other comments came from people in flat out denial about gun owners losing fingers having zero symbolism. You should tell them to correct their reading comprehension not me.

i guess now , war devil wants to say this line to chainsaw man : in the previous chapter , you should have gone for the head , lol ( line of thanos ) .

- war devil : ... watashi , ... kiga ...

page 11 , last panel :
note that on this hand , his chainsaw is melting .

last pages :

  • a random american : yo gun devil , i have never used my left index finger to pull a gun's trigger , so why did you also take my left finger ?
  • gun devil : i dont care , i love $ucking on index fingers very much . btw , the wedding devil loves the ring fingers , and some devil loves the middle fingers , lol .

a mis-translation : ... 40,000 members of the total 3,500,000 members , not 400,000 members ...

statue of liberty / freedom 's goddess .

war devil is pulling the trigger of her invisible gun ?

I don't even live in America, man.

How many mass shootings has England had in the past fifty years versus America this month?
