Fujimoto-sensei's idea of hell and immortality is quite comfounding but makes sense at the same time. Hell isn't the fiery underworld where eternal punishment awaits but a skyscape of doors, and immortality isn't the blessing we think it could be but a slow progress towards losing your sense of self. Though I suppose in their case now, a door out of here is exactly what they want and need.

i am wondering if that was the entire key? that he will go off, hide and become a tree. Then again IS he a devil? What is he afraid of? not being loved? is pochita the abandonment devil? Is he a devil at all? IF devil powers did not work he would have died.

I get the feeling that chainsawman might not be a devil, and that perceived weakness he had earlier was not him losing his power, but thinking he lost it.

The list of "things that Yoru has immediately noped out of and left Asa to deal with" was already pretty outstanding, but even so "getting told off by a tree with tits she just punched" still might have just managed to go straight to #1 on its debut
