it feels anticlimactic because the climax lasted several chapters lol. needed to go back and reread the last few chapters to get a better sense of everything.

Yeah, I'm keeping up with the seriesweekly but honestly...maybe I shouldn't. Part 2 definitely feels like it needs to be read volume by volume vs chapter by chapter

Well this was certainly one of the chapters of all times.

The primordial fear that devils who live forever have long forgotten, that being immortal does not mean they can survive anything, it means they potentially have to be stuck with Denji for an eternity.

Good stuff, Fujimoto. Good stuff. Really good stuff. I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Now excuse me while I go cry over Nayuta again because the end of this arc seems to be putting a cap on my copium...

Ehhhh very abrupt and anticlimactic idk feels like that last arc was for nothing even if some of the main plot progressed

Why is Fami there? I always hoped she deceived Denji with a fake Nayuta head, I guess Natuta is gone for real. 😭 Also, wasn't Fami partners with Barem? What is with Kumiko too? I have so many questions...
This chapter actually OPENED the door to Nayuta being alive, maybe. Kimiko's power clearly has something to do with cloning/multiplication. Which means there's a... let's call it, a cloning demon. Which means Fami could own it and have used it with Nayuta. It's a longshot and probably not really what happened though but Fujimoto did just introduce this possibility...

The joke was funny but overall the conclusion here was somewhat confusing and anticlimactic. Almost feels like Fujimoto set the whole arc up for that single punchline.

Not sure Denji knows any of that.
It was a fun diversion but now we can get on with the main plot.
I don't know why you're so convinced that's where this is headed. Most of part 1 had us believe that it's going to end with a classic shonen showdown vs the gun devil, then the thing got off-screened by Makima.

I am beyond confused, what happened? How is the girl that gave her heart still alive? Does she have clones? Or a twin? What is going on? And on top of all a week break
Bro, let them and us readers have a breather after all this craziness.

Anyone else have trouble following what's going on sometimes? It feels like there should be so many more pages.
I mean, it's tough sometimes sure but I'll take this over dumbing things down and childish expositions any day of the week. And I don't hate that you get to think about it for a while after.

For now, all we can guess about Fumiko is that she either survived through some kind of devil power/contract, or has actual clones/twins. Personally I'm thinking she some kinda Public safety cloneamajig agent.

The presentation is a bit confusing, but if you sit down to think about it for a moment, I think it makes sense.

Basically, when the Octopus Devil was unleashed in its big form, it traps the Aging Devil with its tentacles (that's why in the darkness Aging Devil finds itself in, we see that the walls look like tentacles).
Inside the darkness, black Chainsawman still awaits and from his mouth comes the MREEE guy (whom presumably the gang put inside Denji so that he shows up in the outside world).
The MREEE guy grabs the Aging Devil and is pulled back into black CSM's stomach again. But at the same time, they come out of Denji's mouth in the Aging world.
You cannot imagine how much grateful I am, for your explanation.

The only thing I'd add is that I think Octopus swallows Aging and Chainsawman rather than traps them. There's a "gulp" sound effect when Octo-head appears.

Stop. Just stop. Don't you dare get my hopes up. This is Fujimoto we're talking about, he can and has and will kill characters we care about (and then sorta bring back... to kill again). To have hope here is to be a fool and you're making me feel stupid.

Also (and this has nothing to do with the quoted post; just the thread in general), I'm a little surprised at how many people are saying this chapter was confusing or anticlimactic. I unironically feel like everything makes sense and this was a great way to cap things off. Was it the sudden scene shift? Because I thought that was fun and humorous.
