@Jockpo523 The story of devils in the story here has space for interpretation, so your theory is really likely. In a way i already imagined Makima goal was a form of twisted "love", she just likes things that obey her no more no less, but i do believe she wouldn't mind dying by chainsaw too.

In the end, the story still has the mindfuck this author his known to do, more consistent sure but still mindfuck, it is best too not try and understand everything.

@blackdirt in the situation they are in, I guess even Kishibe will be forced to fight Denji to help Makima. Unless the contract can be undone somehow (some people theorized that maybe killing the PM? but who knows if that makes a difference) then they are fucked.
She put herself in a perfect position, but I suppose in turn she cannot act against the country interests or something.

The problem with the power to erase everything that you eat and only Makima remembers means that no one would know about his power because all memories about the thing he eats are gone which means that he would probably generate a very small amount of fear simply because if he kills every devil he sees and then eats them the devils who see him kill and eat others would forget about him killing and eating the devil, if no devil remembers then they wouldn't be scared. But I guess it's all fixed because all devils hear the chainsaw after being reborn on earth, but that seems bullshit
