In regards to the "argument" of translating licensed work.
I'll be using myself as an example, I run a non-profit group called TCC-Reworks; this is mainly to translate unlicensed works so other people (who don't know how to read JP) may enjoy it.
If a work is licensed, we have to back off as respect to the author of the work who needs the money; they are people as well and require food to be put on the table. We aren't like "aggregator sites" who profit out of ads nor donation (this is a whole nother can of worms to open).
(If you're entitled self can't see what's wrong with that; try making a work by yourself and tell me the experience.)
So, summarized: We don't work on licensed mangas/manhwas/manhuas as respect to the Author who brought the work into fruition lest we become snakes (like those aggregator sites).
