Such a stupid retcon to rush an ending. You're telling me that this whole time while the high elves, who have fairies everywhere, and the vampire, who has bat familiars everywhere, not a single one noticed that they were being spied on at all? I get they need to come to some kind of ending since this story wasn't really going anywhere but this is about as boring of an ending you can aim towards.

It's going to probably end with them winning and saying something like "Next we'll take on this nation!" followed by The End.

wow making the main cast into village slaughterers killing innocent children for "combat training"/sport is one way to make you root for the "antagonist" she's 100% justified in killing them this makes them utterly unsympathetic monsters isnt this a massive character assassination of the main cast 😂😂

This disconnect is so jarring its literally flipped the script to a WE WERE THE VILLAINS KILLING CHILDREN FOR SPORT ALL ALONG LICHT HAHAHAHA literally nothing to learn from killing village children as they flee

This is almost worse than the "Boulder falls, everyone dies" (as seen in "Her Majesty's Swarm") retcon. Licht just like, didn't think anything of how one of the people he revived just, didn't show up for the group meeting? And like koga88 said, no one at all, with all their abilities, noticed this bitch spying on them? Fuck off. That's genuine nonsense. Not even mentioning how its based in a seemingly out of character moment where characters who are strong by default kill just rando ass villagers for supposed "training" like TushanDaji said? Like, kills the vibe of the whole Manga now. What the fuck was the point in reading if the ending was gonna ruin it like this?

In all fairness, they didn't expect a spy in the first place since they didn't know how Licht's ability worked. And Tenebres knew the crew in and out (hence se was able to oneshot them the first time) so she could easily come up with countermeasures.

Everyone seems to forget that the main casts are the evil force against mankind in the first place, they only make ally with other non-human race to further their cause. That was what made this series different because we took the demon lord's side since day one, so everything they did, while evil to humanity, was what made them stronger.

It was very clearly portrayed as being against Resaga Kingdom's leadership and the adventuring party that tuned against him. Not a "revenge against all Humanity" type story, and the central Demon Lord and minions were always portrayed as being defensive in nature- attacks came at them and they wiped them out, but they didn't go out attacking others. That was where the hypocrisy of Resaga was made more apparent.

they literally walk through cities and towns and arent casually burning and massacring so this isnt accurate they were portrayed as morally grey outcasts not hedonistic savages that went out massacring village children for the lolz if that were the case licht definitely wouldnt have sided with them they had always been portrayed as a defensive group not a morally black villain group that kills humans for pleasure

Point being they were never portrayed as cold blooded psychopathic murderers till this chapter

reminder: licht himself is done with the human race, a statement he made already in earlier chapters.
his party and the church of his country executed him without any reason, and he mercilessly let them be wiped out by the dungeon dwellers he revived.
i think the impression of licht being tolerant towards human beings only established itself when he calmly walked through berne's country without lashing out randomly. he also asked demon lord aria to spare the unwilling saint he revived.
not sure if these events make his character inconsistent or a disciplined subordinate to aria's cause.
on another note, it is obvious that most of the characters are centuries old creatures, while licht might be literally the youngest and most restrained of the bunch.
some of them have quite the layer of deep dark experiences they inflicted on other beings by their own choice.
dismissing the demon lords entourage's cruel, brutal and chaotic tendencies is a mistake that will lead to failure in grasping their full personalities.

Not really, Licht knew what he walked into day-1. He already cut himself off from mankind who betrayed him so he DGAF if the demon lord rule the world and anhiliate all mankind.

It really is kind of amazing how this story has made the wrong choice at nearly every turn. Licht can infinitely revive himself and others at no cost so the story has no stakes. Licht is apathetic and disengaged from most things so the story feels aimless as nothing actually matters to the main character's own journey. Licht doesn't meaningfully engage with others so the relationships fall flat. I barely even care that Faris and Rose like Licht.

Now there's been a secret hidden antagonist that's been there since the beginning that killed the group in the first place and easily did it again. I don't care about this girl's sob story. The fight is visually uninteresting and doesn't matter since Licht literally decides who wins.

Is pretty weird as in 50 chapters we only seen them manage the dungeon and go on the defensive against invading humans and other demon lords, but well...there must be a reason if humans are at war with the demons, turns out Ari was a piece of shit like the others in the past, doesn't seems like the authro can put a good reason on the city being destroyed, it was simply a training ground, fully justified rage from Tene and if anything her revenge was good, didn't give them time to understand what happened and just killed them, exactly like they ruined her village.
Unfortunately she is the antagonist of this arc but is in no way the villain, can't honestly cheer for MC and the girls.

Throughout this series, Licht only died twice, once by his own kind and once by Aria herself (When she demonstrated her power to Berne). Tenebres was unlikely to be able to slip in a queen's quarter so she didn't witness that
